Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BotStudio, a product of Good Fellas Agency ("BotStudio," "we," "us"), collects, uses and protects information when you visit botstudio.us, use app.botstudio.us, buy a plan, or chat with a bot built on BotStudio.
1. Two kinds of data
Customer data is information about you, the business using BotStudio. For this data, we decide how it is used and this policy applies directly.
Visitor data is information that people type into a chatbot on a BotStudio customer's website. For this data, the business that runs the bot is responsible for it, and BotStudio processes it on that business's behalf. If you chatted with a bot on someone's website, that business's privacy policy governs how they use your information. Section 4 explains our role.
2. What we collect from customers
- Contact and account details: name, email, phone, business name, website and login information.
- Demo and intake answers: your business type, goals, services, hours, branding and other details you share so we can build your bot.
- Billing information: plan, purchase history and billing address. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by us.
- Content you provide: website text, documents, flows, instructions, logos and settings.
- Usage and device data: pages viewed, features used, IP address, browser type, and referral and campaign information (such as UTM tags). Our website uses Google Analytics to measure visits.
- Communications: emails, support requests, help center chats and Community posts.
3. How we use customer data
- To build your demo bot and deliver the Service you buy.
- To create, provision, suspend and restore your account based on your purchases and payment status.
- To process payments, send receipts and send service notices (such as payment failures or suspension).
- To provide support, onboarding emails, the Community and the course.
- To send product updates and marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To secure the Service, prevent spam and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- To improve the Service using aggregated or de-identified information.
4. Chatbot visitors
When someone chats with a BotStudio bot, the bot may collect what they type, such as their name, email, phone, questions, answers and the full transcript, along with technical data like IP address, browser, the page they were on and campaign source. Depending on the business's settings, this information may be emailed to the business, saved to their account, or sent to tools the business connects, such as a CRM, Google Sheets, a scheduler, Make or Zapier.
- We process visitor data only to provide the Service to the business that runs the bot, to keep the Service secure, and as required by law.
- If a visitor asks for a copy of their transcript, it is emailed to the address they provide.
- Visitors who want to access, correct or delete their information should contact the business whose website they used. If they contact us, we will forward the request to that business where we can identify it.
- Businesses should not configure bots to collect payment card numbers, government IDs, passwords or health information.
5. AI processing
Chat messages, the business's instructions and its knowledge content are sent to third-party AI model providers to generate responses. Under the terms these providers offer for business API use, data sent through the API is not used to train their models by default. We do not use visitor conversations to train AI models.
6. Service providers (sub-processors)
We share information with trusted providers only as needed to run the Service. They are bound by contract to protect it.
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Aminos AI | Chatbot platform, hosting of bots, flows, leads and transcripts |
| OpenAI and other AI model providers | Generating AI responses |
| Pinball | Website, checkout, customer accounts, email delivery, Community and course |
| Stripe | Payment processing |
| Make (Celonis) | Automation that provisions and manages accounts |
| Resend | Sending transactional and lead notification emails |
| Google (Workspace and Analytics) | Business email, internal operations and website analytics |
| Kit | Marketing email |
Integrations a business connects to its bot (for example, its CRM or calendar) receive data at that business's direction and are governed by that business's agreements.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the transferred data.
7. What we never do
- We never sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by U.S. state privacy laws.
- We never share one customer's leads, transcripts or data with another customer.
- We never use visitor conversations to market BotStudio to those visitors.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website and the chatbot widget use cookies and local storage that are needed to function, such as keeping a chat session open or remembering a privacy consent choice. Our website also uses Google Analytics and may use advertising tags to understand how visitors find us. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may stop the chat widget from working.
9. Retention
- Active accounts: we keep customer and visitor data while your account is active, or until you delete it.
- Suspended or cancelled accounts: we keep bots and data for 90 days so you can reactivate, then may delete them.
- Billing records: kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Backups: deleted data may remain in backups for a limited period before it is overwritten.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, rate limiting and spam protection, and we choose providers with strong security practices. No system is completely secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
11. Your choices and rights
You can update your account information, unsubscribe from marketing emails, export your leads, or ask us to delete your account and data at any time by emailing [email protected].
Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Texas, the EU or the UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to appeal our decision. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
12. Children
BotStudio is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. International users
BotStudio is operated from the United States, and information is processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email or in the app before they take effect. The "Last updated" date shows when it was last changed.
